Bumpi Kicks is developed by Speed AI Labs LLP. On the App Store it is listed as Baby Kick Counter: Count Kicks.
The short version
Bumpi Kicks is made by Speed AI Labs LLP. Your kick sessions, due date and settings are stored on your iPhone. The app does not ask you to create an account, and we do not run a server that holds your kick history.
The app does send some information off your phone: usage events to an analytics service, purchase details to Apple and a subscription service, and, on iPhone, events to Meta that we use to measure our own ads. Each is listed below.
What stays on your phone
Your kick sessions (the kick count, start time, length and goal), your due date, the first name you enter, your settings, and any recordings you make are saved in the app's storage on your iPhone. Deleting the app removes them.
If you use the listen and record feature, the app uses your microphone. Recordings are saved on your phone. They leave it only if you choose to share one.
What the app sends to analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog to see how the app is used. It receives events such as: finishing the introduction and the questionnaire (the goal you picked, what you said you want help with, and whether you entered a due date, but not the date itself); viewing the subscription screen; starting or restoring a purchase; starting a kick session; saving a session, with its kick count, length and goal; reaching your goal; changing your kick goal; turning reminders on or off; and starting or saving a recording, with its length.
PostHog also records basic app activity, such as opens and updates, and which controls are tapped. These events carry the time they happened, so they can show when you counted. They are tied to a random identifier created by our subscription provider, not to your name or email address.
Subscriptions (Apple and RevenueCat)
Counting kicks needs a Pro subscription. Apple handles the payment. RevenueCat, our subscription provider, receives a random app user ID and your subscription and purchase status. If you allow tracking, it can also collect your advertising identifier.
Ad measurement (Meta)
On iPhone the app includes Meta's software development kit. We use it to measure our own ads. It records standard app events such as app opens and reports events such as starting a trial or making a purchase. Meta can also use your device's advertising identifier when you allow tracking.
Your kick counts and recordings are not sent to Meta.
Your tracking choice
The app asks, through the iOS prompt, whether it may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the app tells Meta that advertiser tracking is off and does not collect your advertising identifier for the subscription provider. You can change your choice any time in iPhone Settings under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
Apple
Apple collects its own download and purchase information under Apple's privacy policy. If you share app analytics and crash reports with developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may give us aggregated reports.
Your controls
In Settings you can clear only your saved sessions, or clear everything, including your due date and preferences. These actions remove the data stored on your phone. They do not remove events already sent to the services above.
To ask what we hold about you or to request deletion of analytics data, email diyanshu@speedmvps.com. Say which iPhone and app version you use so we can find it.
Children
Bumpi Kicks is for pregnant adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
When the app changes what it collects or sends, we update this page and the date below. The date shows the last time the words changed.
