App Languages and Right-to-Left Layout

You can switch Bumpi Kicks between 32 languages in Settings. It starts in your phone's language when its first language is one of the 32, and in English if not. Arabic and Hebrew read right to left. The counter, most of History, Settings and the daily reminder are translated. The Listen tab (the sound recorder), the tab labels, the PDF export and other notifications are still in English. The App Store lists English only.

What to know before you switch

It starts in your phone's language

When your phone's first language is one of the 32, Bumpi Kicks opens in it. Any other phone language gives English. A language you choose in Settings is remembered, unless you use Clear all data.

Each language shows its own name

The list in Settings shows each language by its own name, such as Deutsch or Español, so you can find yours without reading English. Its search box matches the own name, so type Deutsch, not German.

Arabic and Hebrew read right to left

Choosing either one mirrors the layout. The app asks you to close and reopen it to finish the change.

Some parts are still in English

In every language, parts of the app appear in English. They include the Listen tab and Record screen (the sound recorder), the tab labels at the bottom, the Trends and Activity sections of History, about a third of the setup text, the PDF export, notifications other than the daily reminder, and the explanations in the iPhone microphone and tracking prompts.

The App Store lists English only

The listing's Languages row says English. The app handles its languages itself and does not register them with iPhone, which is the likely reason.

Written from version 1.0.6

This page was written from the source code of app version 1.0.6, the version on the App Store on October 9, 2026. It was not tested on a phone in every language, and it makes no claim about translation quality.

Questions about this feature

Does the app choose my language automatically?

Yes, if your phone is set to one of the 32 languages. Otherwise it uses English. Settings lets you change it at any time.

Why does the App Store say the app is English only?

The Languages row on the listing says English. The app handles its languages itself and does not register them with iPhone, which is the likely reason the listing does not show them.

Is the daily reminder in my language?

Yes, the daily reminder is translated. After you change the language it follows the new one the next time the app opens or you change its time. Other notifications, such as trial and plan-ending messages, are in English.

Is the whole app translated?

No. The counter, most of History, Settings and the daily reminder are translated. The Listen tab, the Record screen, the tab labels, about a third of the setup text, the PDF export and other notifications appear in English in every language.

Does counting need a subscription?

Yes. Counting needs a Bumpi Kicks Pro subscription. The App Store paywall shows the price and any free trial before you pay, and you can cancel in your iPhone settings.
